ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
En Este Dia, En Este Mundo (On This Day, in This World) is inspired by Brazilian artist Tunga's piece "Xifópagas Capilares Entre Nós." It reimagines a myth of two sisters, conjoined by their hair, who must separate or face sacrifice.
This elegant performance inhabits the trials and tribulations of death, fear of difference, loneliness, farewells, and above all, deep love. On their final day, the sisters' choice asks us how would we live our last day? What final words would we say to each other? And what would the wind, the sun's path, tell us? What would be our last song? How would the last dance be?
